“Working with Kirsten for the birth of both of my daughters is a no-brainer. Even as a second time mom, Kirsten provided support in a way that allowed my husband to be present for me that wouldn’t be possible without her help. Between explaining what is going on when things became chaotic, talking me through my options to decide what’s best for me, and providing physical support so my husband could enjoy the birth of our daughter, we couldn’t imagine NOT having Kirsten with us!!”

“Having Kirsten on our team was wonderful. Even as a “back-up” doula, she stayed with us the entire time we needed her, from being admitted to triage, to being sent home, to returning to the hospital for the big arrival. Through the discouraging and particularly challenging times, Kirsten calmly coached my husband and I (he is especially grateful to have had this support!). She offered helpful reminders to guide me through labor and ultimately achieve the birth I wanted, welcoming our little boy without unnecessary intervention. There is immense value in working with a doula — I would recommend Kirsten to any expecting mother wanting to ensure a fulfilling birth experience.”

“This was my first pregnancy and I knew I wanted a doula. Kirsten was recommended to me by a friend. From my first meeting with Kirsten, I knew she was going to have a huge impact on my life. She was there every step of the way to answer questions and calm my nerves. We planned to have baby girl at a birth center but had to get transferred to a hospital at 38 weeks due to being diagnosed with preeclampsia. God truly gave Kirsten a gift. She was the light, the calm and the strength I needed to get through a traumatic, several days long, induction. My husband focused on the physical pain relief during labor while Kirsten supported me emotionally and mentally. Kirsten knew exactly what I needed without saying anything. It’s truly hard to put into words how wonderful Kirsten is and the impact she has had on my life. She kept me grounded and always brought me back to the gift I was going to receive at the end of all this. My husband and I are beyond grateful and so blessed that Kirsten was there to help bring our sweet girl into the world. Having her at my birth will always be the positives memories I go back to.”

“I knew before getting pregnant that I wanted a support person during my labor and birth, but procrastinated hard! After a recommendation from a friend, I reached out to Kirsten, and I am SO thankful I did! From the moment we spoke, Kirsten was incredibly understanding and compassionate, and made me feel like I was in capable hands. Even though it was a last-minute situation, she quickly set up a time to meet. She helped me feel so much more prepared and calm going into labor. During labor, Kirsten was exactly what I needed. She was calm, supportive, and provided excellent guidance throughout the whole experience. She encouraged me to advocate for myself, ask questions, and take a minute to make decisions. She knew exactly when to step in and offer comfort measures like counter pressure, breathing techniques, and words of encouragement. Her presence was game-changer, making a huge difference in my overall experience.

One thing that stood out to me was the support she gave my husband. As much as he wanted to be there for me, he was feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to help. Kirsten stepped in to guide him, offering suggestions on how he could support me physically and emotionally. She made sure he felt included and empowered, which really helped ease his anxiety. It was so comforting to know that both of us had someone there to support us through the experience.

I can’t thank Kirsten enough for stepping in when I was feeling overwhelmed, and I’m so grateful for her support during the birth of my baby. If you’re considering a doula, I highly recommend her.”
